Apple-Cherry Crumble

1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup brown sugar, firmly packed
1/4 cup margarine
1/2 cup raw oats
6 cups sliced, peeled Michigan Apples
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon grated orange peel
1/2 cup dried tart cherries
1/2 cup broken pecans, optional

1. In small bowl, combine flour and brown sugar. With pastry blender cut in margarine until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in oats; set aside.

2. In shallow 2-quart glass baking dish, combine remaining ingredients. Spread evenly in dish and sprinkle with oats mixture.

3. Bake in 350o F. oven about 45 minutes until golden brown and Apples are tender. Serve warm with ice cream or whipped topping, if desired. Yield: 8 servings.

Per Serving, 1/2 cup: 280 calories, 3 g dietary fiber,
6 g fat, 71 mg sodium.
